What are Formal Elements?
'Formal Elements' in photography is seeking out different elements that break down the basics that are found in the environment one is trying to capture. These elements are: colour, lines, texture, composition, pattern and form. Within photography, the photographer must understand the basics when taking a photo and be able to single out one or more elements in each photo; this will help develop the eye in taking photographs.
Task
The task we got today was to go out and gather images that use at least one element in each photo to show our understanding of formal elements.
