@artcyll is an artist I follow on Instagram and really like their style of portraiture illustrations. There wasn't any personal info that I could dig up but on them but on their Instagram page they often post their drawing/painting process as timelapse reels which I also enjoy watching. They use Procreate when creating digital art, using a textured background and brushes to create a retro zine aesthetic which I think really adds to their work. Alongside their portraits, often they will little graphic touches such as squiggly lines in bold colours and items to again build up the overall aesthetic in each drawing. When they paint, they use oils and use again bright and bold colour to really make their work very recognisable amongst others.
For my FMP, I plan to create up to five portraits and was inspired already by Ana Santos and her work, with her use of illustrative details. @actyll popped into mind too when thinking of inspiration, their very graphics approach to creating portraits is something I'd also like to convey in in my FMP final pieces. As my idea is to convert the answers from my interview with family and friends into graphics style animated loops atop of my portraits, I think this style would match quite well.
